Introduction
This is just my opinion.
General Information
I do not think that new buildings should be built when there are old buildings that are unoccopied. IF a building is unoccupied it should be legal to occupy said building and renovate it to be used for other purposes.
If there is a need for something that requires a building to exist, then it should be completely free to take over a building that has been sitting around unused and uninhabited for an extended period of time.
The matter of using up the resources of this world should matter more than the idea of "ownership" over an abandoned location that is doing nothing aside from taking up space.
There are too many places, streatching space and resources too thin. It would be better for everyone (and also the environment) to just use up what there already is.
Additionally, new cars should be built out of old car parts rather than have old cars take up space in massive junkyards.
