Hijra - (n.) - A gender or social role in South Asia that does not have an exact Western counterpart. Most hijras are assigned male at birth, and adopt femininegender roles and feminine clothing.
Homoantagonist - Someone who actively hates and/or attacks those who are LGBTQIA+. This is not necessarily someone who does so out of ignorance; but does so with deliberate and malicious intent.
Homophobia - When someone is mean to a gay person (or gay people in general) specifically because xe are gay.
Homovestite - (n.) - person who obsessively, compulsively and neurotically wears the clothing of zir own sex.
Hormone Blockers - (n.) - Drugs used to negate or prevent the effects of hormones, particularly sex hormones. Anti-androgens suppress malesex hormones, while anti-estrogens suppress femalesex hormones. Also called puberty blockers, puberty suppressors, puberty inhibitors, or hormone suppressors.
Hormone Replacement Therapy - (n.) - Therapy in which a person is given hormones that their body lacks. Many, but not all, trans people choose to go “on hormones” to improve their gender presentation. Some cis people also undergo hormone replacement therapy for other purposes, e.g. estrogen replacement for postmenopausal women.
Hormone Therapy - (n.) - Medical treatment wherein the patient is prescribed hormones.
Hypergender - (adj.) - When someone consistently has intense feelings of gender. For example, assuming that the typical man feels 100% like a man, a hypergender man would feel more than 100% like a man. This concept can be applied to any gender identity.
Hypersexualization - (n.) - Treating a person as highly or overly sexual, at the cost of respecting them as a person. Commonly done by chasers and trans fetishists to trans people.
