Jacobs Syndrome

Introduction

The topic of discussion for this page is not a gender identity, nor a sexual orientation. Instead, this page provides information on an intersex variation. People who have this condition may identify as transgender or cisgender. They may or may not identify as intersex. Personal labels of identification are all up to the individual, and this is not a an inherently queer topic.

General Information

This intersex variation is primarily characterized by the presence of an extra Y chromosome. The symptoms commonly go unnoticed, leading to this being an underdiagnosed condition (aka, most people are unaware that they have it).

Common symproms include being taller than what is typical, and increased likelyhood of a learning disability. They may also have hypotonia (low muscle tone).

They may also have hypospadias, a micropenis or a smaller-than-typical scrotum, and/or undescended testicles.
